Tough Week

This week may be a tough week for the kids. I have planned a lot of material to cover. A lot of it is going to be challenging for them, but not too hard. This class is very smart and I want to teach them things that are a challenge. S0- just so you are aware, there may be some tired kids this week! I am sure you won't mind. :)

What a great weekend

I had such a great weekend! The Cowboys and Wildcats won!!!
Make sure you check out your child's yellow folder. It has the homework for the week as well as spelling words. It also has a request for help with the Thanksgiving Feast!

U of A!!

Go U of A!! Great game! Foles did scare me a little bit with those int's. Anyway- first time we are ranked in 9 years in all the polls. Can't wait for the Washington State game.... On another note- if your child is sick, please keep them home from school! We have had many children coming to school with temperatures- this is not healthy for your child or the other 27 children in our class.

Hello! I hope everyone had a good weekend and has gotten healthier! We have had a lot of absent students and I think it has been because of sickness. This week we are back to normal homework. I used Microsoft Publisher, but then I couldnt get it to transfer to a pdf file so that I could pull it up and open it. Anyway, please look at the newsletter that was sent home Tuesday. U of A!

Did anyone watch the U of A game?! I didnt get to watch, but listened on the radio. I think Foles did an awesome job. He can actually get us up on the scoreboard a couple times. He was what we needed all along. Maybe Stoops will actually admit it now. Who knows what would have happened against Iowa if we could have scored just a couple more times.

Hi! I forgot to put the bonus word on the spelling words list. Opps! If you think your child is ready, the word is "now." If it gets too stressful for your child, just forget about the word, and try again next week. Let me know if you have any concerns or questions!

Homework and parent involvement!

Hello! This week we are going o start out with alot of homework. It is going to take you as parents sitting down with your child and working with them a little each night. Please do not do the work for them (I have had them for a week and a half and I will be able to tell :) ). You may be there to help read words they don't know, give them hints, and most of all- ENCOURAGE THEM! If you have any questions or concerns, please email me or talk to me about setting up a meeting.
